This month we help you understand our optional software maintenance plans a little bit better.
When we released FileCenter 7, about half of our lucky users got upgraded automatically. Everyone else ended up paying the full upgrade price. Why the difference? Upgrade Protection.
One of the best perks of our maintenance plan is upgrade protection. Whenever we release a new version, maintenance holders get the upgrade.
When you compare the cost of maintenance to the cost of upgrading, you quickly see that maintenance is a no-brainer:

Do I Have Maintenance?
All new licenses come with a year of maintenance. After that you renew it annually. If you're in doubt about whether your maintenance is current, contact our Sales Team:

We are just thrilled with FileCenter and we have not even used all of its features yet. I had used PaperPort for many years and was increasingly unhappy with it. It was better than nothing but it seemed to get slower every "upgrade" and the later versions were a nightmare to install unless you started from a clean slate. Yeah right.
I looked for months off and on and spent many. many hours googling to find a software that was affordable for my 2 person firm but had the functionality we needed. We certainly hit a home run with FileCenter. It is fast and has many, many more features than PaperPort and is very reasonably priced.
